Sword of Venom

I've been making a few sketches of stylised weapons which have certain atttributes. This sword has a powerful Venom magic linked to the blade via runic enchanments. This project was more of a learning excercise than anything else. Working from a rough skectch I blocked the shape out in Maya, unwrapped the model and then took it into Zbrush for the high pol sculpting. I'm really new at Zbrush and I find the UI very weird but I came up with a design I'm happy with. I think the high poly mesh was around 4 million polys in Zbrush. I then exported the high poly mesh and baked it as a normal map onto my low poly model in Substance Painter where I also finished the texturing. Then it was over to Marmoset Toolbag 3 to setup a basic render using a couple of lights. Lastly, I used Photoshop just to add some adjustments to the exposure and some levels. Now that I have a workflow I will be creating many more stylised assets using this theme.
